Scholarships Available for Caller Training

CALLERLAB Scholarship Announcements

CALLERLAB administers a scholarship fund to support attendance at caller schools. Applications for these scholarships must be submitted to Home Office in the spring of each year.

The following scholarships are currently available to callers:

George White Memorial Scholarship Fund

In compliance with the wishes and objectives of George White, proceeds from the Fund will be used for disbursement to CALLERLAB members on a scholarship award basis. Scholarships will be awarded based on the following priorities: need, existing skills, training, and intentions.

Applicants shall be limited to CALLERLAB members who are applying to attend a caller school with at least one Accredited CALLERLAB Caller-Coach on staff. Priority in award selections shall be given to callers who have been calling more than three years at the time of application. However, this is not meant to limit applicants only to those who have already been calling three or more years. In the event that no experienced callers have applied, a new caller can and should, receive an award, all other factors considered.

Tex Hencerling Memorial Scholarship Fund

Priority in award selection shall be given to those callers who are from overseas and who have been calling for more than five years at the time of application. However, this is not meant to limit applicants only to those who have already been calling for five or more years or are from overseas. Any caller or aspiring caller can apply. In the event no overseas or experienced callers have applied, a new caller can, and should, receive an award, all other factors considered.

Heyman Scholarship Fund

In compliance with the wishes and objectives of Bill & Peggy Heyman, proceeds from the Fund are intended for use by a deserving caller who has a background of calling or dancing; and who has indicated a desire to learn to call or a desire to improve their calling. Scholarships will be awarded based on the following priorities: need, existing skills, training, and intentions.

Jerry Schatzer Scholarship Fund

Applications will be accepted from any person interested in learning to call or in improving their calling skills. Scholarships will be awarded based on the following priorities: need, existing skills, training, and intentions.
