Alternate Involvement Requirement. During the 2001 CALLERLAB convention a bylaws amendment was approved which directed the Board Of Governors to establish an alternative to convention or Mini-Lab attendance to establish Voting Member Status. That requirement was named the "Alternate Involvement Requirement." Over the next several months the Executive Committee and the Board reviewed, discussed, and voted on numerous ideas and proposals. On August 27, 2001 the final version of the Alternate Involvement Requirement was approved by the Board. (12/03/2004)

The committee is composed of knowledgeable callers from all over the world who review written requests from callers and/or dancers and decide as to the proper or improper application of these calls. All callers on this committee agree to abide by its decisions.

The committee is reactive rather than proactive. It accepts questions from either dancers or callers about proper and improper usage of any definitions or arrangements.

The Caller/Club Cofirmation Agreement (Contract) has been developed by CALLERLAB to provide callers and clubs with a standardized document to be used to confirm an agreement between callers and clubs for a specific dance or event. (Rev A - dated September 12, 2008)

The CALLERLAB Code is: The professional caller must wholeheartedly subscribe to the established standards of relationships to accomplish the declared purpose and objective of callers in the square dance profession.

CALLERLAB Members accept these obligations as a personal responsibility and solemn pledge, both in spirit and in fact, in a manner consistent with the highest standard of professional services as a member of CALLERLAB - The International Association of Square Dance Callers. Each Member agrees to discharge these obligations.

This Scholarship Information and Application document provides data relating to scholarships administered by CALLERLAB and the CALLERLAB Foundation. Scholarships and Education Funds provide financial assistance to callers, dancers, and clubs for education purposes.
